As a first year teacher, I find myself being unable to provide my students with the basic supplies they need in class since I don't have a "stash" from previous years. These supplies include scissors, pencils, erasers, and crayons, just to name a few. You can't be a writer without words and like so, you can't be a student without the basic materials. In order to become someone or something, you must begin somewhere and have the basics you need to leap forward. These supplies, although small, will help my students begin their journey in becoming the greatest version of themselves as they can be.
