This year, I have an overwhelming number of students facing challenges in the areas of physical and occupational therapy. I am hopeful that the stools and swivel chairs can give my second grade scholars some options when doing their reading groups, seat work and computer activities.
The "one-size-fits-all" plastic chairs are just not meeting the children's needs. I have students in my classroom that are the size of an average 5th grader and other students who could pass for preschoolers...truly, it is unbelievable. I am most hopeful that these chairs will make a difference in their learning. The stools will be used to help bolster core strength during small group activities. The swivel chairs will help my smaller students see the computer at THEIR level, while also helping my larger students feel more comfortable at the computer station.
