For the last two years, our students have shared sixty laptops with 160 other students. We have finally been blessed with our own classroom set of Chromebooks and are getting ready to set the technology world on fire!
I hope to create multimedia projects with our new "toys" that allow us to bring the outside world into the classroom and take us places that we could never go on a field trip. To this end, we are looking for headsets to help us create video projects and participate in Skype or Google Hangout activities with other classrooms around the country. We are also requesting a wireless mouse for each student; my third graders are learning how to use the Chromebook touchpad, but their fine motor skills are still developing and it is difficult to drag and drop items at this point.
This project will be benefiting approximately 65 students who will be forever grateful for your help!
