The students in my classroom rotate from math center to math center as I work with a small group. I want the student's rotation to be engaging, fun, yet educational.
These games will allow students to use math strategies taught in fourth grade. Your donation will allow students to work together using a competitive math board game. Math Climb is a beautiful mathematical game where students are exposed to prime numbers, factors, and common multiples. They can add, subtract, multiply or divided to climb to the top. I love the mental math aspect of this game and highly recommend it for your own family. In Place Value Mystery, students solve place value problems to move through the house. They write each answer on their white board, checking their answers with a mystery decoder (awesome right?!). ATM Action and Allowance board games help students think money. They use money skills to help the track their finances. Think of the anticipation and excitement you felt while playing games with your friends and family. Lets expose my fourth graders to these certain types of games so they can share that same excitement. These centers might encourage the students to buy some board games at home instead of electronics!
