The library is a coveted area in my classroom! Favorite books are read over and over, and students gain confidence in their abilities every time they read. Switching out new titles is like Christmas morning. This project will add 234 early reader comic books, sight word readers, and high interest non-fiction books to our classroom library! These books will be used for independent reading time to reinforce reading strategies previously taught in small groups. All of these books have been chosen with my students' needs and interests in mind. Every student can feel successful with the variety of levels and topics that have been chosen to increase knowledge, fluency, and comprehension. The most effective way for students to increase their reading ability is by reading. This new collection of books will provide my students the opportunity to do that!
