A document camera is the next generation's digital replacement for the overhead projector. In addition, a document camera goes beyond the simple functions of an overhead by allowing you to display not only transparencies, but documents, objects, images, moving objects, and much more. We will be able to work math problems with manipulatives under the camera to teach addition and subtraction, and 1 to 1 correspondence. I am also requesting a stand for the camera to sit and view a space with the workstation.
With the ability to connect to our Smart TV, a document camera will be able to display the teacher’s and students' thoughts, ideas, lessons, and examples on a large screen format, live and in brilliant color. We also need batteries for the various learning games and systems we have such as Hot Dots. I'm requesting rechargeable batteries so we can re-use them repeatedly. We also need the charger and the tester to see when they are running low. And lastly, we need headphones for intervention on the computer and a USB remote for presentations to students, parents, and faculty.
