Have you ever sat through a 60-90 minute meeting without feeling like you needed to get up or just move? Now imagine yourself as an 11,12 or 13 year old and having to do that for 7 hours a day. Flexible seating options, such as standing desks, and bounce bands attached to their desk can provide a much needed opportunity for students to stretch their legs and listen to the needs of their bodies while learning.
Research shows that significant learning gains can be made when students have the choice of flexible seating options and the ability to move and be active in their learning environment.
These standing desk and bounce bands will allow my students to choose tools in my classroom to help them focus and listen to their bodies needs while still learning. My goal is to have 100% growth from all of my students this year, and by providing these tool in my classroom it could play a huge part in making this happen.
