If fully funded, I will substantially bulk up the Manga/Graphic novel section of the Media Center. Currently we have approximately 8 manga titles, and 100 Graphic Novels, which are our highest circulated genres. Because of the structure of our budgeting, we can only make book selections once per year. The students read manga and graphic novels so quickly, and they are starving for more! It breaks my heart to have them so excited for books, but not be able to provide them with more in the format they enjoy so much. This project would provide my students with a wider selection of manga.
