I want to help students become strong readers while building a love for reading for enjoyment rather than seeing it as a chore. I am trying to expose them to a wide variety of genres as well as books they have told me they enjoy reading. My students have expressed an interest in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Dork Diaries, and Captain Underpants series. I am looking to build my classroom library to include a variety of books to ignite a passion for reading while helping them to achieve reading goals and challenges. These books will help me to achieve this goal.
