My students who are somewhat reluctant readers will finally have a book that they can get excited about. Students will be reading the book together in class and analyzing it for character, plot, theme, etc. The students will also be writing about the book looking at choices made by the characters in the book. The book will demonstrate to the students that reading is an enjoyable experience, making them much more open to choosing another book. The low Lexile is also fantastic for my English Language Learning Students. With the movie coming out soon, the students are even more excited to read it.
