I teach at an urban school in East Los Angeles. We are a Title I school where our students are receiving free and reduced lunch. The majority of our student population is Limited English Proficient. They really enjoy learning and are excited about any hands-on opportunities we can provide. There are a diversity of living arrangements and family structures in our school. Although, some of my students have outside challenges, they are hard workers and enthusiastic about learning.
