Each of my students will be able to explore the medium of acrylic paint and learn several lessons in this project. First they will learn the basics of portrait drawing, they will learn how to correctly blend colors to create skin tones and shading, and a life lesson in giving a gift to someone. We will be painting portraits of third world country children who live in orphanages. The gift will include a picture of the artist holding their exchange child’s portrait they painted with a short message. The portraits will be delivered to the country by missionary’s and students will receive a video and photo of their child receiving the gift.
