I am a kindergarten teacher in an inclusion setting in a low income area in Queens, NY. My students abilities range in all subject areas. Some of our students with disabilities need more than paper and a pen to engage and grow as learners. We are asking for a donation to help fund the purchase of a classroom IPad. Integrating technology into our learning stations and small group work will engage all students and help them gain experience with technology as they grow in all academic areas. My plan is for my students to succeed with the help of math and literacy applications, educational websites, and interactive games that align with the curriculum. As some students need differentiated instruction, the IPad serves a purpose for all of the visual and audio learners in the classroom. The IPad makes learning more hands on and creates a fun learning experience for the children.
