Imagine sitting in a class wanting to answer a question or participate in a class discussion and not being able to. You know what you want to say but you have no way to say it. That is the challenge that some of my students face on a daily basis.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student academic achievement, you will ultimately help to increase their confidence and participation in the class and more importantly give them a VOICE.
I will use Proloquo2go to create a variety of communication boards for the different topics covered in class. The students will be able to answer specific question as well as give their opinions related to topics. The communication boards provide the word with the corresponding picture. This is very helpful for my students that cannot read but can communicate using visuals.
