The first things that usually come to mind when people think "biology" are wild animals and vivid images of plants and microscopic life! Because I do not have access to color printers, many lessons I want to implement do not come to fruition. Many activities involve studying and observing various images of organisms and noting the differences between them. This cannot be done with simple black and white prints, so many of these lessons can't be done at all.
By donating a printer and laminator to our classroom you are helping to open doors for students and help increase their interest in biology. You will help my students strive to be more observant and more critical in their observations, which is key in a biology classroom. You will help them be more involved and engaged in classroom activities. Having the ability to print materials and then laminate them for repetitive use, gives all of my students a greater opportunity to learn and appreciate biology!
