With the TIME for Kids magazine I will continue to provide a print rich classroom for my fifth grade classroom. I will be able to provide social studies content in the area of current events and financial literacy all while also targeting non fiction reading standards. It is important to share what is going on in this world in kid friendly terms. I chose TIME to assist me in providing them with the latest happenings in the world.
With TIME for kids, my students will be able to access informational text that will allow them to read independently but to also differentiate their reading levels and instruction.
The content of TIME for kids is engaging and has a high interest level for students. This will help increase their reading of non fiction text and help them grow stronger in reading. Students will also be able to access this magazine at home and share with families building up their comprehension as they share content with others at home.
