Learn in comfort! We are leaving behind the classroom where students sit on a hard chair all day where somtimes their feet don't even touch the floor. We now know students are more engaged and more productive in an environment that offers flexible seating and gives students a choice in how they learn.
Online learning has given classroom teachers a chance to rethink the traditional classroom. My engagement nook consisting of a seating area on the floor with a rug and pillows where children can use tablets and laptops to access the online programs they use in class. You would be amazed how excited a 5th grader will be to sit on the floor, legs crossed, in their sock feet learning how to model decimals. Oh, and our class pet Cluck Cluck will love it too!
