My students are incredibly curious and love to use technology whenever possible. Our classroom has 16 iPads and 14 chromebooks but only 6 headphones for all of my 4th and 5th graders.
Help give each of my students their own set of earbuds so they can maximize their use of online resources!
We use online resources like the student learning centers for Everyday Math and Reading Wonders to hone our reading and math skills. Currently, students have to wait their turn to use the headphones or go on technology without headphones, meaning they can't use tools like text-to-speech.
If every student had their own set of earbuds they could do more independent differentiated work on online systems without having to wait for their turn! They could also use the headphones during our monthly Evaluate assessments and on the SBAC state test later in May. I have 20 fourth graders and 30 fifth graders so each would get their own set of earbuds to use in the classroom. Please help give my students every opportunity to maximize their learning!
