Eighth graders use graphing calculators every day in class. As is right now the current calculators we have a 10 plus years old and despite yearly updates and maintenance they are working less efficiently each year. The function buttons are hard to see and some screens are illegible making it difficult for students to use.
Students in my class room live in a mostly, low economic area and do not have easy access to costly items such as the TI-84 . These new calculators will be used for success in STAAR testing and daily activities. Also have these new calculators are going to be amazing.
