Through alternative seating for students, physical health demands of needing to move will be met. Work production will increase because students are allowed to choose what is comfortable to them. There will be an increase in community through the encouragement of taking turns and collaborating will be emphasized.
Students will be given a fun alternative for a sensory input that will give them choice and empower them to take ownership of their learning.
Some of the alternative seating will be incorporated with seating already in the classroom. Newer items will include seat disks, stability balls, and standing desks. This flexible option will be piloted then possibly pushed into additional settings.
