Studies show that movement is key for elementary age students! Children engaged in movement throughout the day show a significant reduction in stress, improved behavior, alertness, and overall attitudes about school and peers.
Giving my students options for seating such as floor desks and comfy chairs, wobble/ball seats, and standing desks will not only let them take ownership of their learning environment, but will help them learn how to turn all their energy and fidgeting into brainpower and impact learning and moods drastically.
Imagine a classroom where the students design their learning environment for the day! Not all children learn the same way, but they can ALL benefit from being active! Movement changes everything!
