The iPads I’ve selected will help our teaching team integrate technology into my newcomer students’ English, math, and history lessons, an essential step in addressing the gap that exists for my students in both technology access and exposure to the resources technology can provide.
A set of iPads and keyboards for our classroom means that more students will have access to their own iPad during our lessons; with a better ratio of students to iPads, students will become more comfortable using tablet technology and familiar with essential technology tools. Just as important, students will grow in their independence and learn to explore educational tools and resources such as instructional math and literacy games when they have more opportunity to work with their own iPad.
When each student can access curriculum with their own iPad, our teaching team can more easily differentiate classroom instruction to meet students where they are. Individual iPad access also means that our students can view the screen content when using Desmos in math class instead of crowding to share one screen.
