I am preparing my students for the professional performance world should they choose to pursue music. In the professional and collegiate world, character shoes are needed for dance, choral, theater, and musical theater performances. By allowing them to train and perform in these shoes, I am able to give them a more authentic experience because they have the necessary shoes to perform in. We are a Title 1 school, and I do not have a costume budget, and every year we struggle to fully costume shoes for our female vocalists. Having an inventory would allow current and future students to borrow shoes like they would a textbook for the school year.
