Qball is just what I was looking for. I teach mathematics and at times I'm met with the sound of crickets when students are asked to share. To further engage my students I incorporate movement as response and have developed quite the tool kit to engage a class but nothing is more powerful than giving a mic to a child. They can't help but speak. They want to hear themselves and others. The Qball offers a seamless integration with movement activities and my professional practice to build student agency within the classroom.
I want my students to be heard, listen to others and enjoy movement in the learning environment. The Qball will be established as active learning. Students learning will then be framed with fun and give a voice to students. We have students that are hard of hearing- this will act as a substitute to walking a mic to my students to ensure they are heard by all. The throwing of a ball in class?! I want a turn!
