Using Raspberry Pi, single board computers, and accessories, students will learn the coding and electronics required to replicate and understand the modern technology behind products like Google Home.
Students will construct and program a smart light switch that they can control from a computer or phone. Then students will learn how to construct and operate an web enabled thermostat for their classroom, before coming up with their own applications to develop.
By applying what they have learned in other classes, students will have more control and a better understanding of the technology they use daily and prepare them for a career in STEM.
