As I plan to implement meditation in my classroom, I chose yoga mats for my project. I teach in a community where trauma is very much present and real in the lives of my students. My school site is focused on social-emotional learning in order to help students cope with their emotions, learn to problem-solve, and learn important social skills.
Having these yoga mats would engage my students that much more with meditation, and my goal is to further help them learn to regulate their emotions and control their bodies. Please consider donating to help the well-being of my students!
