Non verbal students will be able to communicate using an AAC device. The students will not have to point, gesture or take an adult by the hand to let them know what they want or need. A sense of having a voice will be given to them.
Using the AAC device will help the students with their expressive and receptive communication skills during large group, small group rotations and much more.
Students that are non verbal will be introduced to a new way of communicating and the goal is to expand their expressive and receptive language to be able to interact socially with peers and expand their vocabulary.
