Having a set of different and exciting manipulatives to use during math exploration will allow my students to love learning about numbers and operations. Using the same tools everyday can get repetitive and boring, but with new math manipulatives my students will enjoy using them to learn about numbers everyday! With the new teddy bear counters, dinosaur counters and insect counters, we will be able to represent addition and subtraction stories in exciting new ways. The number bond manipulatives will also help us to recognize the relationships between numbers and how we can compose and decompose numbers. Our classroom is filled with students eager to learn and explore mathematics. With these new manipulatives, our math explorations will be fun and exciting! My students are always looking for different ways to represent their math thinking and these tools will allow them to show off their learning and continue to grow as learners.
