This year I am hopeful and excited and know we can and will make progress in math by incorporating opportunities to read in class.
When students read in math, they are able to apply their learning to concepts which will enhance their understanding of math concepts.
Students will use the books to help them practice reading and representing numbers zero through fifteen. They will also be able to practice composing and decomposing numbers while learning about life under the sea. My students will be able to use the book and reinforce their learning of numeration.
I will read the book to students to help them make connections to what they are learning in class.
