Using visuals in special education classrooms is a basic. However, in the Functional Life Skills classroom visuals are a vital piece of the learning process for all of our students. Most of our students are nonverbal and many of them have Autism which impacts their ability to process language receptively and impairs their ability to use expressive language.
Your donation allows us to easily create the visuals that give our students the voice they need to communicate and participate in the learning process. When our students have the visuals they need it reduces frustration and helps them engage in learning and social interactions that will enhance their lives for a lifetime.
