Basic needs in my classroom are being met because of the materials I provide (i.e paper, pencils, crayons, erasers and glue). Materials such as ink and headphones are considered luxury in my Title 1 school but they are definitely needed.
Having these materials will facilitate testing in the classroom but will also help provide my students with much needed 21st-century learning skills.
The headphones will also serve as free time for my students who love to play interactive learning games such as prodigy, Cool Math or games on MobyMax. I use free time as an incentive for my classroom.
