I have 8 students with significant special needs and with my co-teacher we have 13 students altogether in our program. My students are all in high school and are working each day to enable themselves and to participate in their lives with as much independence as they are able. Our classroom mentors, promotes, and breathes ability. No excuses just plain hard work, respect, and love for one another. These students attend an urban ring high school with a high rate of poverty. Despite their economic and personal struggles, my students show a passion for life and success that is admirable. I am blessed to be a part of each one of their lives.
