A comfortable meeting area for group learning is important for 1st grade students, and is needed to enhance learning in the classroom. Currently my students do not have a comfortable place to sit when we are doing whole group learning. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.
My students are more engaged with the lesson when they are comfortable and their needs are being met.
They are less disruptive and eager to learn which is very important. The rug I have selected will give my students a comfortable place to sit during group learning with peers. The students that I work with are wonderful and cheerful learners, who have the ability to change the world. I teach in a high need urban school in Boston. The school is 90 students strong and we have students from Pre-kindergarten to 1st grade. I work with the 1st grade students. I work with LatinX and African American.
