We consider each other family in our classroom. Our theme is Ohana. Making my classroom a community in which we can learn and grow from collaborating is a priority to me.
No one can make it on their own. We learn from each other and everyone has something to contribute. In order to build this community, I want to provide an atmosphere which is conducive for all types of learners and to create areas which allows for collaboration.
With flexible seating options, such as: floor cushions, balance ball chairs, and stools, I can provide for many options for collaboration.
The flexible seating options will be a fun way to collaborate which will build excitement for group work and enrich relationships. It will also provide options for those students who have special sensory needs and will accommodate to a wider range of students.
