Attending the Shape Florida Conference is a great opportunity to bring back innovative ideas that will enhance my Physical Education curriculum for my school at Westward Elementary. The conference provides a wide variety of workshops that support academic learning from the classroom into the physical setting. Workshops include, but are not limited to: STEM activities incorporating literacy, nutrition, dance, health and fitness activities. In addition, Adaptive PE workshops are provided to help students with visual, hearing or other related impairments. The students I teach will greatly benefit through Physical Education lessons as a result of being able to attend the conference.
