My students are constantly needing a space to keep their materials such as books, spirals, and graded papers organized. I live in an area that serves over 7,000 students in our district and not all students have access to necessary supplies.
By giving my students a place to keep their materials, I can begin to create a classroom that has a more flexible learning environment.
My end goal is to create a space where students can open their minds and yearn for knowledge instead of being forced to a confined work space such as the standard desk. By providing such a simple organizing structure, students can learn in a clutter free environment and learn to take responsibility for things that belong to them.
