A lot of magic happens during read alouds in my class. We like to use props to retell the stories we read as well as sequence the events in the story. Students are learning to build comprehension, print awareness, and are developing vocabulary during books that are read aloud.
Students are using their imagination to create their own thoughts as well as make inferences throughout the stories we read.
In order for this to occur, we need a "Magic Carpet" (a rug) where we can all join together to create these very special memories that my pre-k students will remember forever.
