Math can be scary for 7 year olds. I am trying to make math fun and engaging. Fact fluency and problem solving are important skills for second graders to master. Students need to be proficient at fact fluency before we move on to more advanced math skills. While some of my students are struggling with basic concepts, others are ready to fly. Versa Tiles allows students to work at their own pace and everyone receives what they need to be successful.
VersaTile games will help students work on closing the gaps while providing a risk free and enjoyable experience. Versa Tiles provides a self checking system that enforces the idea that "revision" and correcting are important elements in math. Our class would benefit from having this system in our room. They will be used in small group centers which will allow students to work at their own pace.
