This project helps to teach photosynthesis, plant biology, the scientific method, comparative metabolism, horticulture techniques, sustainability, hydroponics and more. By using the Science First Green Box Indoor Garden, my students will be able to see the connection between their efforts to create a sustainable garden and the outcome of their experiment. They will be able to see real world applications between all their school subjects as they track the growth of the plants which will utilize their math skills, their language arts skills as they keep a journal of their successes and failures as well as all the science embedded in the project.

About my class
