These items will assist my special education students in daily social/emotional learning. They will be used to teach students to identify their triggers and find the appropriate tools to deescalate their own behavior. I will be creating individual sensory boxes that they can carry to class with them. This will allow them to remain in the least restrictive environment.
The books will be a great supplement for my current personal skills lessons that students participate in daily. These daily lessons focus specifically on behavior, building relationships and assist them in making better choices. These choices are currently the reason why they are needing additional specialized support.
