I have chosen titles such as "The Hate U Give", "Dear Martin", "We Were Liars", and "Milk and Honey" in hopes of representing narrators that are more like my students. These will be used to engage students in independent reading projects. My students are struggling to find novels that they can relate to. The titles that we currently have are outdated. Students need to see themselves in the texts that they read and that is my goal with this project. I have chosen titles that represent a variety or narrators, settings, and styles. We sincerely appreciate your donation to our classroom.
