My students need a Kindle because they live in a digital world, and will be expected to utilize digital tools for learning and teaching throughout their lives. The Kindle provides my students with more opportunities to experience books, maps, audio files, and learning videos, when they need it! My students will use the Kindle Fire and headphones for learning websites to not just consume digital content, but help produce digital content. They will use websites like Myon to access thousands of books, listen to audio versions, write stories, and analyze key information. They will take photos to build multimedia projects sharing information on social studies topics. They will use mapping websites to literally explore the world. I look forward to sharing our progress with you. Won't you help my students connect with the digital world and share their learning with others?
