The majority, if not all, of my students are non-verbal. My students don't let this get in the way of them showing all they are capable of learning.
It's always amazing to see the skills and knowledge that my students do have, but providing them with materials where they can demonstrate this is essential. The hands-on on materials of the puzzles, shapes, stencils, and crayons will allow my students to express their voice through actions. The sensory materials is a way for some of my students to calm down and expand on their sensory needs. All the materials will allow my students to learn new skills, grow learned skills, and generalize skills in different settings.
