My 3rd grade students are very visual learners. They are enthusiastic and have a desire to learn. I have a variety of ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic levels, as well as several non English speaking students. I have many students working below grade level that are in need of lots of academic support and lots of different teaching techniques to meet all the different learning styles. Our school has suffered some major budget cuts in the last couple of years and like most schools in California, we are trying to do our best on a very limited budget. Even with these obstacles, we were named a California Distinguished School last year. Our school is very spirited and has high expectations for ALL students.
