I support my students in learning the English language to succeed academically. Unfortunately there are not enough technological devices for my small groups. By using tablets, my students will be exposed to technology as well as being able to work independently to listen to and use the English language. There are many apps and websites that can help my students with language acquisition. By using a tablet the students will have the opportunity to engage in age appropriate apps and websites that offer opportunities to hear proper use of the English language. They will also be able to find images to help them understand the vocabulary they are acquiring. Using tablets will also help foster my students’ independence and hopefully give them the confidence they need to succeed in all areas of their academics. It is my hope that using the tablets will enhance the the students’ skills in reading, writing, and speaking English.
