I would like for this project to allow the students to see firsthand what life during the Civil War was like. Our class goes back in time to learn the history of our nation in our Unit on the Civil War. The Civil War Unit is always a student favorite! The Discovery Park Field Trip which will cost $9 per student ($8 admission into the Park and $1 Bus Fuel) will be an exciting culmination activity to make Civil War history come to life. The entire park is set up to allow visitors to learn about the Civil War with interactive exhibits, authentic artifacts, and a live reenactment! I know that my students will remember and treasure this experience for the rest of their lives.
