These books tell amazing stories that relate to my students' identity of being bilingual in a multicultural state, Multilingual California! I chose 3 novels written by Pam Muñoz Ryan because in her books she shares stories and experiences from her Hispanic background.
Most of the books that we normally have in the classrooms are not full sets of novels. We usually get textbooks or excerpts of novels. Quality Spanish books are rare and I truly appreciate the writers who are focusing in creating multicultural stories. We need resources for biliteracy.
