Students with learning disabilities often struggle with focus. The sound of one student, never mind 8, moving or pushing in a chair, is enough to cause a distracted student to have to reread a whole page or restart a math problem from the beginning! It also can be extremely difficult for students to regain focus once it is lost ! This can be super frustrating for anyone, never mind a struggling learner. Tennis balls help eliminate this distraction. By making a slit in a tennis ball and placing one on the bottom of each leg, chair noises are eliminated and students are learning!
