Hands on and creative learning is an important element missing from our curriculum’s budget. We will be using permanent markers to fill in all of the white space on the tiles with color. We will then use a solvent to run the colors together to create a marbling effect on the tile. We will discuss the scientific element surrounding the solvent and why it makes the colors bleed together. We will use other items to create designs on the tiles such as stamps, string, our fingers etc. to create visual interest. We will finally glue felt on the bottom side 4 corners and then set the design with shellac spray. These tiles can be used as coasters or trivets
