My class is a new program at a school located in California. It is a special day class for young students. I currently have twelve students and half of my students are in Kindergarten while others are Transitional Kindergarten. The students in my class have different abilities and exceptionalities. Each of them has Individualize Education Plan or IEP. Some students have intellectual disabilities, speech impairment, hearing impairment, and visual impairment. This is the reason why I need to provide a wide variety of materials that would cater to the needs of my students. I help my students develop self-help skills, adaptive skills, and functional academics. My goal is to help them achieve their IEP goals and be successful.
